F1B Aussiedoodle puppies are a specific generation of Aussiedoodles, a crossbreed between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle that is either Toy, Miniature or Standard sized.

What are F1B aussidoodles?

The first mix between an Australian Shepherd and a Poodle is called an F1. An “F1B” Aussiedoodle is a cross between an F1 Aussiedoodle (half Poodle, half Australian Shepherd) and a purebred Poodle. This means F1B Aussiedoodles are usually 75% Poodle and 25% Australian Shepherd.

This mix often leads to puppies with more of the Poodle’s low-shedding, hypoallergenic coat, making them a great option for families with allergies.

These dogs are a playful and loyal mix of Australian Shepherds and Poodles. Both breeds come in different sizes, giving you several options.Standard Poodles and Australian Shepherds are large, typically weighing at least 30 pounds.

This breed’s temperament is very  friendly, intelligent, energetic and eager to please. They are naturally good with families and other pets. He enjoys the company of others and loves to learn new things.

This mixed breed  coat can vary but is usually curly or wavy, inheriting the hypoallergenic qualities from the Poodle. His coat colors can range from merle, black, blue, to various shades of brown.

Unexpected Arrival: A Personal Case Study on F1B Aussiedoodle Puppies

When my F1 Aussiedoodle was pregnant, we expected a litter of 4 to 6 puppies, based on our vet’s advice. To our surprise, she gave birth to 9 healthy and adorable puppies!

I know everyone thinks their puppies are special, but I genuinely feel mine are. From day one, my dog has been an amazing mother.Mom is a tricolor variety with patches of blue merle, reddish coloring.  Over the past four weeks, she has taken great care of each puppy, making sure they all have time to nurse and grow.

What’s even more impressive is how she naturally rotates the puppies while feeding. With only 8 nipples and 9 puppies, she manages to keep them all well-fed. Honestly, I wasn’t fully prepared for such a large litter—my newborn supplies didn’t last long! But even with the surprise, caring for these 9 little ones has been a wonderful experience.

Best Living Environments for Aussiedoodles: What to Consider

This breed is very loyal, healthy and energetic, they need plenty of mentally and physical  relaxation to maintain his overall things. Due to their herding instincts, Aussiedoodles may need guidance to manage their natural behaviors in a household setting. 

Should you provide them a comfortable, secure environment  and separate place. Is not important you must have a large house for this breed just you take care of him and always treat him with love.

If you have a yard, make a schedule for daily walk, exercise and play time and if you have an apartment move around freely,  this is very good with children so it’s easy to play with them.

F1B Aussiedoodles: Hypoallergenic but High Maintenance

Since F1B Aussiedoodles have mostly Poodle genes, they are usually hypoallergenic, meaning they’re less likely to cause allergies. However, their curly fur needs more care than other dogs, so regular grooming is important.

Can Aussiedoodles be left alone?

No, They don’t handle being left alone for long periods well and dislike feeling isolated. These dogs need interaction and playtime with their owners, whom they see as family.

Rare and Expensive

F1B Mini Aussiedoodles are hard to find and very popular. Since they are a newer breed, they aren’t easy to come across. While I’m not a professional breeder (just a family sharing pups with loved ones), these dogs can cost over $2,500. And yes, they’re worth it!

Herding Instinct: What to Expect

Australian Shepherds were originally bred to herd livestock, and Aussiedoodles inherit this instinct. If you get an Aussiedoodle puppy, don’t be surprised if they try to herd you, your kids, or other pets. They usually grow out of this behavior by around five months old. It’s funny for some, but it can also be annoying—especially for small children.

Loving Companions

Aussiedoodles are very affectionate. They aren’t aggressive or guard dogs, but they will still protect their family if needed. Be ready to give lots of attention and cuddles because these dogs love showing affection.
